A description of my anime:
The Middle Kingdom of the East, otherwise known as China, was at rest peacefully in the present world. Guarded by four great beings that once formed Earth itself, the Middle Kingdom was undisturbed for centuries. Although, centuries ago, it is unlike the modern day today. In fact,the 4 guardians did not exist in the present; they watch over China in the ofrm of spirits. Only in the past did they actually exist and fight against those that harm the land.

And one demon did all he can to cause terror around. Demorai, an evil demon with black magic and dark spiritual powers attacked the Middle Kingdom with his army, causing war and great damage. His reason was to anger the guardians and lure them out for revenge. His plan was successful and he managed to battle the greatest guardian, the oriental Dragon of the Middle Kingdom, who he was easily defeated by it.

Suffering great damage form the fight, the Great Guardian went to it's counterpart, the Feng Huang, also known as the Grand Phoenix, for help. The Feng Huang has the power to reverse hatred and calm the minds of people. However, it rarely uses her ability every time she reverses hatred, more hatred will be born. So in return, the Dragon offered its physical body in return for her power. He requested for his soul to be placed in another body instead. The hatred should be locked within a child, causing no possible trouble for the time being.

However, after restoring peace, the phoenix split the dragon's soul among 8 children instead. The soul split into the elements of fire, wind, earth, weather, energy, life, wisdom, and finally, hatred. For the time when the dragon is reincarnated, the hatred will be back against China as the children will become the new guardians of the middle kingdom. The Soul Guardians.
